  11. Our prayers are with you !! I want to offer an idea I had for a friend of mine who sufferred similar injuries a few years back. I worked with him and his father in large facility. After he was hurt I bought a small radio with a cassette recorder in it and went around to other coworkers and let them record messages to him in private. I then took it to a local MX race and waited in the staging area when his class was gathering, and riders left possitive messages, some just said, "hello stay strong!" what ever came to mind. The point of doing this so he could hear friends voices, encouragement, possitive words, and comfort knowing he wasn't forgotten. His father told me it gave them a break to leave the side of the bed while this played, to simply get some air, food, restroom, or just go somewhere and cry so his son didn"t hear him. He thanked me over and over, he was eventually able to play music his son liked as he healed. It was for stimulating the brain. Thats why you often see people bed side talking to someone nonresponsive. If his fellow riders and friends could speak to him with out being there, hopefully this may help. Keep it possitive!!! Out of respect, everything that was recorded was never listened to prior to turning over the radio, so I had no idea what was said or even if it worked out right until hearing back from his father. ANOTHER important issue I want to mention. If there are friends or family in the area Lusk lives, check thier home. While away at the hospital out of state, one weekend, the flapper in the toilet failed flooding thier house. They returned Sunday night to return to work Monday ( after using vacation, sick, and personal time )only to find every floor buckeled, walls and doors so swollen the doors could't be opened. They now had to this to deal with also. The Lusk family can use all the help they can get, FRIENDS NEED TO BE FRIENDS NOW!! Again my prayers are with you for GOD SPEED recovery.

  15. To the family of Jeremy Lusk. We send our deepest heartfelt sympathies to all of you! We don't know a lot about Motocross, but we do have nephews who race. We also KNOW how much they love the sport! We lost our 18 yr old great-nephew in 2000, who wore #51....In tribute to Judd #51 & to Jeremy; may you and Jeremy find yourselves together on the best track that heaven can offer! I'm certain your paths crossed here on earth, and now you're both on another pathway that will take you on a ride that will never harm you, yet give you the thrills and gold medals that you all deserve! May God Bless and be with all of you! With our deepest sympathy and prayers;

  20. I was taken all to sudden as I had my life in front of me.
There was no threat to all what would happen for it would hurt way to many.
It was my life to be the one they looked up to and the one they followed.
If I would of known my future then there would be no sorrow.
My memory will stay with a few, but my life will be missed the most.
Watching myself from the tv while I travel coast to coast.
Please forgive me for my sins, wait I think that might be a little to late.
For now I am here watching others do the tricks I love and the tricks I hate.
My mom will see me as I was for she is the one I adore.
Cause I will be remembered by many as he opens those heavens doors.
I will be riding those mountains of only clouds as you know me all to well.
I just hope he has my size of bike and if he does you know I won't tell.
Tell my fans it was what I loved that I followed to my faithful end.
Sorry it had to go the way it did cause it wasn't meant to happen to me or neither my friends.
As I sit here looking over these white mountains there is one thing I need to say.
To my fans and family I will never stop riding cause that is what I do every single day.
So if it was up me I would not change a thing.
Cause I knew what could happen in a sport that is dangerous and knew what it could bring.
So once again I am sorry to my fans and family for what happened that single day.
Don't let nothing stop you from what you love and especially from what you have to say.

This was a poem that came to my mind as I read the stories and found out what happened. My heart goes out to the family and the fans.

  23. To the Faily & Friends of Jeremy, losing him is hard to understand & accept. The pain & emptiness of knowing he is not here is heavy, too heavy to bear, and it hurts.

But when I look at his clips, when WE look at how he gave his all on the ground & in the air, I beleieve Jeremy's Life should be a source of inspiration to everyone... to live life with passion, Love, fire & do our best in everything we do " In remembrance Of Jeremy " HE WAS AN ALL OUT GUY " A superb athlete & an inspiation to anyone who ever saw him ride.

  30. I can't get any sleep I am so distraught over this. I have never even met the man or seen him compete in person but he is one of my tribe, a dirt bike rider who was among the fortunate few to earn a living doing what he'd be doing fro free anyway.

May God take Jeremy under His arms and send him back as an angel to watch over his family and friends who have my deepest condolences.

  31. To the Lusk Family, my deepest thoughts and prayers for you. Geremy passed away doing what he loved. Persons like Geremy are true gifts of god. Some people are lucky to impact one life and then you have these men and women of just true greatness that can make an affect on hundreds to thousands to millions of people. The first time I heard of Jeremy was a few years back, when I heard that he had passed away I just was in shock and watched some of the rememberance videos and have been in absolute tears every since. My son has been on a dirtbike since he was two, training wheels and all. Anything with a motor. Many people think I'm crazy for letting him do these things, he is now nine and I still see "it" in his eyes, but you know what, anyone who has a child, husband, wife, ect. that gets on these machines and sees the true love and happiness our loved one feel for this sport would understand almost immediately. Lots of respect to you Geremy for being strong and doing what made you happy in life and being a true you. Also again to his family, so sorry for a great loss, stay strong, praying with you and for you!

  35. This blows my mind. This man had more heart and courage than most men ever dream about. He was a true warrior and he will be missed by me as a fan. I cant even imagine how devastated the family is, so I will only say that I will pray for those that have been left behind. I know that the crash was horrific, but he died on his motorcycle and to some of his fans thats pretty freakin gangster. Thats more heroic than any steroided baseball player could ever hope to be. God be with the Lusk family through these times. Faith in god will get you through. Right now I like to think that Jeremy is doin some sick whips for Jesus.

    RIP Troop Lusk :(

  36. I sit here looking at all of the people who loved and lived to watch such an exceptional athlete and motorcyclist. I sit here with tears in my eyes knowing how bad his family, wife, and friends are feeling right now. My prayers go out to all of you, and to all the people who will miss you Jeremy, including myself. Rest in peace is a contradiction of words for you Jeremy. I say ride in peace in Heaven for eternity, and we will go for a ride together when we get there.

  39. Great Jeremy! my kids began to jump in freestyle the last year. Always they told me about you and Metal Mulisha. In this way, I met you and all your tricks very dangerous. I am very sure that you left this world doing what you loved to do. That is the idea to be in this world, doing all what you need to be happy. Jeremy, all of us feel extremelly sad what happened to you and we pray for your family and wife and fans. All are with you, dont worry, my kids left the freestyle, but meanwhile they were jumping, you were their inspiration of course at not the same level, but they try to do it. Never anybody could be able to pass over you in this world. Sorry my english, I am a chilean person only with the wish to be with your family with a few knowledge about your language. thanks for all what you did for the xtreme sports.
