As of right now Jeremy is just resting. It may be a while before we hear an update as they have now been able to close his skull and will await the swelling to go down further. They will then be able to assess any other issues Jeremy may be having. As mentioned there seems to be no breaks in his neck and jaw. Once they stabilize him, a CT scan will be done on his spine. Pray there is no damage there.
As soon as we hear more, it will get posted. The family really appreciates everyones prayers and support. It means a lot in times like these. Feel free to leave comments for Jeremy and the Lusk family.

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you all know my thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. My father had massive TBI from a bike accident in 04, they told us he wouldnt make it. I sat at his bed daily talking to him and saying words of encouragement and he made it. He had memory loss but was fully functional. It was a miracle. And you will have your miracle too. We all know recovery isn't easy but with friends and family like his, he will be back in no time. god bless

ReplyDeleteJust FMX fans of Jeremy Lusk.
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry to hear about your accident Jeremy. We are avid dirt bikers whom admire what it takes to be a true athlete pushing the sport of FMX. We saw your run and it looked as if you could have won before this awful crash. We feel that the riders who were rewarded money at this event should donate some of their winnings to your recovery fund. I'm sure they already have as the sport is all about family and friends. We are praying for you and your family! God Bless and GET BETTER SOON JEREMY!
a prayer for jeremy from the Italy..alex
ReplyDeleteJeremy is certainly a stand up guy in my book! Back in 2006 I was conducting an Autism fund-raising event, 1000 Miles For Autism and Jeremy, with the help of Sikspak, autographed a ton of swag for me to auction off. I've never personally met Jeremy, but I was connected to him through Eli, owner of Sikspak.
ReplyDeleteJeremey, I want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts. I wish you a speed recovery.
Respectfully Submitted,
Brian Calliari

My son and I are part of the dirtbike family and want to say from one family member to another that we are praying hard for you and your family, and we will be there for you when the clouds part and you get up out of that bed and ask how your bike faired in the crash. You are a trooper and an inspiration to many, so hang in there buddy, and when you get back on that bike and start regrouping at a few shows, I and my son will be there with the rest of your dirtbike family to cheer you on! ReplyDeleteThis sport has touched the sky and has gone way beyond any of the famous Evil Kaneval's dreams. Some times there is such a terribly price to pay when living your life on the edge of this world and the one Jeremy is in now. One day we will all rejoice in heaven by re-uniting with God's chosen.
